颈椎后方有关节突关节，其表面有关节软骨，周围包绕关节囊，其内充满滑液。正常上下颈椎间有椎间关节、钩椎关节、关节突关节等相关连。随着年龄增大，颈椎发生退变，椎间盘变性、突出，椎间隙高度下降，关节突关节软骨面磨损，可导致颈部僵硬疼痛等不适，同时出现骨刺，有时可压迫脊髓及神经根，引起相应症状。

Cervicalfacetosteoarthritis,sometimescalledcervicalfacetjointsyndrome,isadegenerativeconditionthatcausespainandstiffnessinthecervical,orneck,regionofthespine.
颈椎小关节骨关节炎，有时又称为颈椎小关节综合征，是引起颈椎即脊柱颈段的疼痛和僵硬的一种退变性疾病。
Thecervicalspineincludesthetopsevenlevelsofthespine,labeledC1throughC7.
颈椎包括脊柱的最上面7节，称为颈1到颈7。

颈椎小关节骨关节炎会引起颈部和背部以及肩部、肩胛骨之间的疼痛。
